Apple’s online store has gone down ahead of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro preorders later today. The company will also start accepting preorders for the AirPods Pro 2 from today.
All products will go on sale on September 16. This is also the day you should get your preordered product, provided you can get your order in early.
Preorders for iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro go live in a few hours
Apple will start accepting preorders for the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, and AirPods Pro 2 at 5 a.m. PDT (8 a.m. EDT) on Friday, September 9. The preorders will go live in nearly 30+ markets today.
Apple will also start taking preorders for the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus later today. However, the device will only go on sale beginning October 7.
The non-Pro iPhone 14 models pack an enhanced 5-core GPU version of the A15 Bionic. The same chip powers Apple’s iPhone 13 Pro lineup. Its camera system has been heavily upgraded as well. There’s a new 12MP sensor featuring larger 1.9 microns, faster f/1.5 aperture, and sensor-shift stabilization.
The front camera can now take better photos in low light, thanks to a wider f/1.9 aperture. It has gained autofocus, too, for capturing sharper-looking selfies.
A new Action mode will help capture more stable videos when recording scenes that involve you jumping around a lot.
All new iPhones feature Emergency SOS with satellite connectivity. The feature will allow the device to connect to a satellite and contact emergency services or your friends/family while in the wilderness. This service is free for two years but will be limited to customers in the US and Canada.
